Big Brother’s Julie Chen Speaks Out After Mickey Lee’s Death

Julie Chen Moonves knows to expect the unexpected. But the Big Brother host was never anticipating this.
After season 27 contestant Mickey Lee‘s death, the Talk alum paid tribute to a houseguest close to her heart.
“Two months ago I interviewed Mickey Lee on God 101,” she wrote on Instagram, referencing her YouTube series. “That’s when she revealed to me that she was born with a hole in her heart, and as an adult she survived an ATV accident that should have killed her, but God kept her alive. Last night God brought her home.”
“Rest In Peace dear Mickey,” the 55-year-old continued. “I will see you again on the other side in eternity. I pray the good Lord comforts and heals your family and loved ones as we grieve your passing. Amen.”
Earlier this month, Mickey was hospitalized after suffering a series of cardiac arrests following complications from the flu.
