Jennette McCurdy Shares How Her Perspective of Her Late Mother Has Modified After Years of Abuse

Jennette McCurdy has written her method into a brand new mindset.
The Nickelodeon star mirrored on how writing her memoir, I am Glad My Mother Died, shifted her emotions in direction of her late mother after enduring parental abuse whereas rising up.
“Grief for me towards my mother was once actually difficult,” Jennette defined throughout an Aug. 9 interview on Good Morning America. “I would really feel actually offended and confused at why I felt offended that I used to be grieving her.”
Jennette added that she felt like her mom, who handed away in 2013 after battling most cancers, did not “deserve my tears and my disappointment and that she was abusive.”
Regardless of this, Jennette shared that authoring her memoir modified her grieving. “It simplified in a very relieving method and now looks like I will simply miss her,” she mentioned. “And I believe that’s solely potential due to the therapeutic that occurred by the writing of the guide.”
